Great option to save some money and buy dumbbells in increments of 10lbs instead of 5.

Built fine but not a great design and regret grabbing these for my snodes. That said, I have found a use for them for my wife when she uses the viper so not great for their intended purpose but I found a way to get some use out of them.

The Snode Magnetic Adder Weights let you increase resistance in precise 1.25 lb increments, which is a huge plus in helping dial in the perfect weight. Each set includes eight adders totaling 10 lbs. The magnets are strong and hold securely whether on the top of the weight stacks of my functional trainer or on the ends of my PowerBlocks.
That said, they’re not perfect. The metal housing can lightly scratch your rack or plates if you slide the weight while removing it which is very likely. I also have one magnet come loose from its housing. However, when I contacted their overseas-based customer service, they offered either a discount or a replacement. I chose the replacement, and they made it right.
Update: 3 more magnets have come out, for a total of 4 coming out. I will be calling tomorrow.
Overall, these are a smart solution for micro-loading with solid magnetic strength, but the design could use some refinement.
Update: A second magnet came unglued…not happy! We’ll see if their customer service can make it right.
