28MM IWF Olympic Weightlifting Bar w/ Center Knurl

28MM IWF Olympic Weightlifting Bar w/ Center Knurl

Combining a 215K PSI steel shaft with quality needle bearings, friction-welded sleeves, and a full but non-abrasive knurl pattern, this IWF Approved version of our Rogue Olympic Weightlifting Bar ranks among the best in the industry for feel, durability, and performance. Each 20KG bar is machined and assembled in Columbus, OH, and includes a center knurl for added “stick” along with official IWF branding on both the shaft and endcaps. In the strength world, approval from the IWF (International Weightlifting Federation) is equivalent to a restaurant getting its Michelin stars, so achieving that recognition for this barbell is a true point of pride and a testament to the level of precision that goes into its design and construction.

Look, it’s not an Eleiko, but for the price, I’d buy these over an Eleiko for training purposes. I have no complaints. Eleiko knurling feels better to me, but this thing is sweet. I even got a boneyard version that looks fine to me. Good spin, good whip, A- knurling.

I got one of these bars from the Rogue garage sale at the Arnold a couple years back. I got it after heavy use (I'm guessing either at a crossfit event or weightlifting training hall). Knurling is more passive than the Pyrros bar which may be preferable for daily training. There is a little play in the sleeves during the spin, but it is hardly noticeable. Definitely a solid choice for a weightlifting bar if you prefer a more passive knurl.

This is a great bar if you're into olympic weight lifting. It has the high quality build you'd expect from Rogue and is one of the few they offer with bearings instead of bushings. The cost of this is relatively high when compared to other bars in Rogue's lineup, but very affordable when compared to other high end weightlifting bars from other manufacturers. I likely would only suggest this to someone who is deep into weightlifting and not just looking for a bar to do cleans or snatches with as you'd likely be fine with a bushing bar and saving some money.
