Highly sought after Grail pieces for vintage weights collectors. The volcano hub Berg plates, as these are commonly known, demand a high premium price; perhaps not quite as high as the Zuvers or early Jackson cross-hubs, but probably more than your monthly mortgage. Finding them in good condition is like finding a unicorn shopping at your local Walmart. Famous for their crisp block letter castings, they are also quite accurate in weight. These were some of the very first modern-style barbell loadable plates made, manufactured in the late 1920s and featured at the 1932 Olympics.
