This is a nice multiflight option for those limited on space. I was able to grab this off marketplace for $200, which I felt was fair. The welds are nothing to write home about, but it functions nicely and feels decent enough. One necessary upgrade for me is longer handles.

I have had this piece for a couple of months now and have some opinions. I love the idea, it’s an economy multi flight with a small footprint. However, it is big and clunky to move around. On my rack (Rogue Monster Lite) it doesn’t actually fully fit. I have to essentially wedge it on and can’t put the pin in it to hold it in place. Once you get the thing on you feel like you should have just used dumbbells. But, in use it lights up my delts. I think if you’re going into it with having never used a multi flight like I hadn’t then it is great to learn if you like it. I also have to critique the claim it can be used for chest flies. I have not found any sane way to fix it to my rack to use it. Not only that but storage is a pain. Unless you buy the storage solution which is an extra cost you just have to jam it somewhere and hope for the best.In the end it’s not a 2,000 dollar multi flight, so you get what you pay for. I still enjoy it on days when I have the time to fight it but as a parent with limited time I can’t recommend it if you only have 20-40 minutes a day to train.

I picked up the Fringe Dragonfly recently, and these are my first impressions after using it for a bit. Overall, it’s a solid piece with a lot of potential. It does a lot of things well, especially for the price, but there are some noticeable issues worth mentioning. Cons: • Weld quality is structurally fine, but the welds could look cleaner for better aesthetics. • Powder coat finish isn’t perfectly even across the unit. • Weight-arm bearings are threaded through. When switching arms to the correct side, one side comes off normally while the other just spins, which gets frustrating. • Starting-position lock pin can drag across the bottom of the arm depending on the angle. • Wing placement is welded too far back — moving them forward an inch or so would improve ergonomics and range of motion. • Some pin holes are very tight or slightly misaligned, making pins hard to insert or remove. • Chest flys feel uncomfortable until the extension handles arrive. • Handles don’t rotate — rotating handles would be a nice upgrade for joint comfort and more exercise options. Pros: • Lateral raises feel excellent — smooth, consistent resistance with a great movement path. • Adjustable strength curve is a huge plus and adds a ton of versatility. • Rear delt flys are solid — not perfect, but definitely good. • Price point is very fair for what you get. • It’s Voltra-ready, which is a nice bonus if you run that setup (I’ll be trying it soon). It definitely feels like a V1 product, and it shows. With some small refinements, a V2 could be fantastic. I’m still happy with the purchase overall and look forward to getting more use out of it, especially once the extension handles show up.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this but got a good deal and gave it a shot. I do actually really enjoy the movement but it is a very limited use piece. Lateral raises are pretty much it until some handle extensions come out. Additionally the weight horns seem very small diameter. Even using ivanko plates that fit tight on every bar I own, I managed to launch a plate off this while using it (not aggressively). Luckily it just hit my bench and not my foot or a pet. I’d be sure to throw some spring clips or similar on the end of these if you can find some that will hold. Fit and finish is about as others have stated. One of my handles was missing a bushing and one of the arms rubs on the base when folding it up for storage (removing the finish). Despite all of this, I do like the piece and will keep it around for the time being.

Great piece to have in the gym! Lateral raises work well because you have the ability to load the beginning. I have extra handles from my Giant open trap bar and attached it to the end of the Dragonfly with M10 double end threaded studs. With the extra length both front and lateral raises feel even better. The quality is ok. My unit had a little bit of unfinished metal inside of the arms so a mag pin can't sit in there, but Fringe has excellent customer service and they made it right.

The dragonfly is a great piece for those who want a lateral raise/chest fly machine at an affordable price and with no footprint requirement. There is some play at the various joints, but its not enough to hinder the movements. For chest flys I added the Rogue H5 handles using a coarse M10 to coarse 1/2" male to male adapter, which made the angle on chest flys much better. The ability to load the start of lateral raises and the end of the chest flys feels fantastic. My only complaint is the stoppers on the weight horns can slide off when repositioning the piece. Other than that, very happy with the equipment. For reference: I am 6'1" and arm length is just about perfect.
