5/5 it’s incredibly smooth, zero cable twisting issues (which was my concern with the Ares 2.0), - the rack is a tank, lat pull down and low row are great. Everything works exactly how you want it to. This thing will last forever.

I am a home gym with limited space and this was the answer I needed. Rogue took their time with this one and I’ve been incredibly happy with it since the purchase. The trolleys are well built, the table system is condensed into a simple setup, and after nearly a year of ownership, I haven’t had any issues with it.
I cannot give this a 5/5 in value as Rep beats the out, but if you need to throw the add on it, this seems well worth it if you’re trying to save on the footprint of your rack.
The twin weight stacks are easy to utilize. I don’t understand why Rogue didn’t supply numbers for every slot but IWII. Having the ability to set trolleys at different heights and amounts for individual movements really is worth it and I noticed drastically has increased the overall time of my workouts.
The Lat Pull Down / Low Row is fine. The huge roller pad to pin your legs down is a little bit of a pain in the ass to throw on and off, but considering what this is allowing you to do vs a dedicated machine, the compromise is palpable.
With this upgrade, I opted to use safety spotter arms rather than my safety straps in the rack. It’s just nice to be able to manipulate the trolleys without moving more out of the way.
I also opted to get the covers for the weight stacks, in hindsight, I am wildly disappointed Rogue didn’t make some sort of storage hook system for it.
Overall it’s a great option to be able to use all this in your space and maximize your rack footprint. Considering the types of workouts I need to do for my shoulder, it’s very practical.

The Twin Stack is Rogue's answer to the Rep Ares. It features two side-mounted weight stacks and four pull points. The two functional trainer trolleys offer 2:1 resistance with independent pull from each stack. The high and low pulleys are effectively 1:1 by pulling 2:1 from each stack and combining the feel weight. That means you can pull up to 150 lbs per side and up to 300 lbs for lat pulldowns and low rows. The trolleys glide up and down the uprights smoothly on rollers, but do require two hands to grab both handles and to easily engage the trigger-based pop pins. The oversized pulleys mean you get smooth operation from every pull point. The optional shrouds aren't really worth the cost. They look great, but can get in the way of using stack attachments like a gym pin and force you to use the spacers on the weight storage. When the Twin Stack was first released it was priced almost identically to the Rep Ares. After several increases it's hard to recommend the Twin Stack on a value basis. If high build quality and made-in-USA is worth a premium to you, then the Twin Stack is still a great buy.
