Unfortunately this is a major miss in my eyes from fringe sport. The main issue here being that the handle length is too short for average-large sized hands. Everything else about them is pretty nice- knurl, looks, construction. But I had to return as my hands were too big and pushing into the webbing. If you have small hands and these are on sale, probably a great pick up though.

These D-handles have a premium look and feel, and they are marginally cheaper than those sold by other brands, but they have a design flaw that holds them back. I got one of Fringe's D-handles for free with the Mammoth belt squat, and chose to buy a second one to make them a pair. The knurling on the handles is not too aggressive, the metal seems to be rust resistant, and they don't look or feel like they are made from cheap materials. The handles spin, but the rotation could be smoother. That said, my primary complaint is that the handles are held to together by an end cap that screws into place, but they regularly need to be tightened to prevent them from falling off.

I got this free with the Mammoth belt squat. I was using a DIY D handle prior so this was a great upgrade. The handle itself is small in diameter and in length. It will work, but I would not spend money on this. The knurling is pretty good and it will probably feel as good as the basic commercial gym handles you have used.
