Solid rack squat stand that punches way above its price point. Meant to be a temporary solution until I upgrade to a full cage. Fringe has quick delivery and the stand was well packaged. I've confidently done heavy rack pulls and Anderson squats with the Fringe spotter arms with no issues. My only wish would be to have the uprights be a little taller so I can do pullups without bending my legs, and for the holes to have been cut the full length of the upright. I had to drill my own holes to accommodate my Revolt Pulley.
Overall, this is a great starter squat stand that I would trust over a cheap full cage from Amazon/Walmart.

Very solid and practical rack. This was one of the first pieces I purchased during the pandemic--partly because it it was available at the right time, and in part because of its attractive price point/ low barrier of entry. Despite acquiring this unit for entirely pragmatic reasons, I got way more value out of it than I originally anticipated.
The stated weight capacity at the time was 500lbs (thigh I see it's 600lbs now), which was more than sturdy enough for my needs. I personally squatted in the high 300's and low 400's on this setup with no issues. It also has a small footprint and is lightweight (only about 80lbs), making it ideal for maneuvering around tight spaces.
That said, the budget price point comes with trade-offs. I deducted one star for performance and build quality only because it uses a 12-gauge steel and shows noticeable sway at heavier loads. Also, the 5/8-inch holes and 2 x 3 tubing limit attachment compatibility.

The only squat stands I could find at the time with a pull up bar that could fit in my low ceiling garage. PK sold me on it in the product video when he said “You will not find a better squat stand for less money”. He was right. With spotter arms and shipping paid around $350. One spotter arm was missing the pin so they sent a second pair free- excellent service. This is a great squat stand for squatting, benching and with west side spacing probably good for floor press, (lighter) rack pulls. Powder quote and steel gage are fine, but a little thinner than premium tier offerings, but this is A-OK considering the price. I’d be willing to bet this is one of the best “entry level” squat stands out there. Would highly recommend.

I bought the Fringe Sport Garage Series Squat Stand/Half Rack to replace a half rack I grabbed off Amazon, and honestly it’s been a solid upgrade for my basement gym.
My workout space is limited and has low ceilings, so I needed something compact. This rack fits perfectly. The adjustable pull-up bar was a big selling point for me too. Being able to move it down makes a huge difference because I’m able to do chin ups without worrying about hitting my head.
My only real complaint is the weight storage pegs. I just wish they were designed to hold plates more vertically instead of straight out horizontally. It would make better use of space and easier to pick up bigger plates.
Other than that, I’ve been really happy with it. It’s sturdy, practical, and works great for a tight basement setup.
