Hybrid Power Bar

I used the stainless/black sleeves version at a gym for a few weeks while traveling. I really liked it and would purchase one for my gym if I ever had the need for another power bar. It’s like a 28.5mm Texas Power Bar (in terms of specs), but higher quality - better knurling IMO, tighter tolerances, and stainless. Knurling is great, felt great on SBD and Press. If you’re a powerlifter in a fed that only uses 29mm bars, this probably doesn’t make sense to get. Otherwise I think this is a great bar. Knocked off 1 star on value because it is pricey

Got this just to add some variety to the gym, thought it would be cool to have a 28.5mm bar with more aggressive knurl for deadlifting without going full deadlift bar. Really nice bar, I don't find the knurl *that* much more aggressive than the regular Ohio Power Bar, expected it to be sharper if I'm being honest. The black sleeves will show wear very quickly in my experience but doesn't look bad or anything. One of the endcaps on mine was flaking when I received it which is kinda lame for an expensive bar but whatever.

We got this bar as our 4th Powerbar for the gym. I was intrigued about the tighter tolerances on the sleeves and the do not disappoint. It is noticeable quieter on deadlifts, and the extra aggro knurling makes this my goto deadlift bar after the stainless one. the black sleeves still look pretty good even after heavy use. I wouldn't recommend it on bare skin for squats or when benching, as the knurling will scratch the hell out of you (unless that is your thing). Price is up there and I wouldn't buy this as my first bar for a gym. I also don't really see it to be used on olympic lifts with the aggressiveness of the knurl.

My Hybrid power bar is a boneyard version with bar steel and the black coated sleeves. My 13 yr old and I use it 3-4 times per week for out SBD+OHP workouts. Knurling is perfect, It is aggresive, but not in a painful way. My 13 yr old originally didn’t like it, now he thinks every other bar is sub-par. Local gym has American Barball Gym Bars…. Hard to say this Rogue Hybrid PB is not equal to or better than that American barbell. Would recommend to make anyone!

One of my favorite Rogue bars. This was a garage sale find for me as they were prepping release. Nice aggressive knurl, and a really solid bar for all around use. We’ve loaned it out multiple times to other federations or comps that use a standard barbell instead of specialty bars and it takes a beating and always comes back in one piece

I have the hybrid power bar in stainless steel with black sleeves. It has replaced a Cerakote Ohio bar as my primary bar for squat/bench/deadlift/rows. I am really impressed with the tight tolerances Rogue has achieved with this bar; add on the stainless and the knurl, and it feels high-quality. I look forward to lifting with it. I recently used a Chrome big-name power bar at a local gym, and there is no comparison to this bar. It will be difficult to go back to a coated power/hybrid bar. Squats - sticks to your back; Deadlift - IMO the knurling can get aggressive for me when going heavy. The black sleeves are showing wear after 3 months, paint from plates. I like it, but consider that when purchasing. The bar will also wear on the plastic on rollers and j-cups.
