Personally only used this in a competition. All the mass is centrally located on your chest. Makes it difficult to use if you are not used to it. Also starts at 150 so hard to warm up for those not that strong.

For myself this is my favorite log to use for a max lift. I’ve used one at a gym near by for static monsters and it’s a lot easier than smoother logs. Haven’t bought one due to the price constantly increasing, it’s getting to the point of waiting for one to come up on marketplace

Purchased the MBPC 12” Log in October of 2024. This item shipped freight and arrived well packaged. This log is arguably one of the best on the market; the performance and build quality are exceptional. The grippy powder coat is unmatched and the welds are clean. The starting weight of this particular log came in at 155lbs. (5lbs. heavier than the advertised weight). My only real criticism is there appears to have been some welding slag that either came loose or was unintentionally left inside one of the closed sections of the log prior to its completion. This doesn’t hinder its performance and is hardly noticeable when there is background noise and/or music playing. This log is expensive but worth its higher price tag.

I've owned five logs. This is the best quality of all of them and it's not even close. But that's always the case for anything from MB. BUT it's expensive (I bought mine used thankfully). Also it's heavy empty, so it's not a great option for beginners.

Very high quality log, have used it multiple times at the local strongman gym over the last few years. Biggest draw back for most people will be it 150 lb starting weight. Used at the local gym and in competitions since 2024

This is a fantastic log. I was at a gym that had logs from Rogue, Titan, and MBPC and the Mike Bartos one was so much nicer than any of the other offerings. The biggest downsides to this one in particular is the high starting weight unloaded (150lbs) and the very high shipping cost since it has to go freight.
