Megalith Open D Handles

Wow these are solid and heavy! Perfect knurling and these will last a lifetime. Rory is local and a great vet/entrepreneur so I am happy to support him. The stickers are also cool!

I bought the Megalith Open D Handles back in late April, and they took about a month to arrive. From what I understand, there was some kind of manufacturing issue, but I’m not holding that against Rorman Strength since that was likely outside of their control. Rory also made it right by sending me a bunch of carabiners, which I really appreciated. Now for the good: these handles are built exceptionally well and will probably outlast me. Everything about them screams quality. They are heavy, have a cool industrial design, and feel more like a custom-made product than something mass produced. The quality and attention to detail are clear right away. The knurling is about medium, maybe a little more aggressive than my stainless steel Ohio Power Bar, but still very usable. There were no assembly instructions included, but I found them pretty intuitive to put together. Function-wise, they are great for a variety of exercises. I especially like using them for push exercises and single-arm lat pulldowns. They feel solid, comfortable, and very secure during use. I also really appreciated the handwritten note and stickers Rory sent along with the handles. I thought that was a nice touch and really reflected the company’s brand and values. Overall, these handles feel incredibly well-made, perform great, and come from a company that clearly cares about its customers.

The Rorman open D handle is a great upgrade from traditional cable handles. The open design allows more freedom in hand positioning and feels more natural during rows and curls. It’s comfortable and reduces wrist strain compared to fixed handles. High-quality attachment that I use often for single-arm work.

Well built handles with a fantastic grip. It’s a premium option for an open D handle design so you will need to weight whether or not that matters to you. The only real downside for using them is that they’re heavy if you’re using a Voltra

I use these handles for several movements including chest flys, single arm tricep extensions and pull downs, and lateral raises. These handles are very nicely crafted which is what you’d expect for the price. These handles aren’t going to transform your training. Buy these if you like nice craftsmanship and supporting an American made small business. I use them regularly and have no regrets about purchasing them.

Really well made but very expensive. I got these for one specific movement (cable press arounds) I do regularly because a traditional D handle would rub the cable on my hand and wrist which was annoying so was hoping the Open D handle would solve it but unfortunately it still occurs with this handle. Really good handle otherwise, just didn't solve my problems, so 3 stars for performance. I think it is because the movement I was doing has the weight starting from like hip height. When doing anything at shoulder or higher like a traditional cable fly it doesn't get in the way at all.
