The Socket Pull-Up Bar gives athletes and gym owners the opportunity to customize their bar with a Cerakote color finish and/or barbell-style knurling for added grip. It’s also available in a stainless steel option. Compatible with a 43” wide space on any existing Rogue Monster Lite rack or rig, this version of the Socket Pull-Up Bar ships standard with (2) textured black mounting sockets and (4) black zinc bolt assemblies measuring 5/8" x 4.5”. Socket mounting holes are 6” on center. The bar itself is 1.125" in diameter, and all Cerakote-coated versions include the Rogue logo in the center.

I actually bought the ez curl style pullup bar and it is sooooooooo worth buying. I love weighted pullups and I prefer chin-ups but I was finding that a straight bar wasn't feeling great on my wrists. This was such a convenience and comfort upgrade I think my entire gym improved just with the ability to do the exercises that I prefer to do. The thing is solid and the knurling is comfortable and somewhat passive like an Ohio bar. I highly recommend it as an upgrade but it is obviously not a necessity.

For me (smaller hands) this 28.5mm bar is a big improvement over the standard 32mm bar. The only issue, as others have mentioned, is that the knurl on this is too sharp. Rogue's knurl seems to change from one product to the next. Sometimes perfect, and sometimes not. This is a not. You do get used it to very quickly, but the first time you use the knurled version, it won't be fun... FYI you can email Rogue to switch this out if you're ordering a rack and the website doesn't offer the option.

It's a nice way to add some color or refinement to your standard rogue pull up bar, but really not necessary for the most part outside of aesthetics

I have the stainless knurled version of this. It’s a very nice pull-up bar and comes with good hardware. The knurling is aggressive ant first but you get used to it. It is nice for wide pull-ups or hanging ab work where your hands would tend to talk in on a smooth bar. I do think it’s a bit overpriced and I wish it was just welded to the sockets/brackets that connect it to the rack because it would be stronger. I don’t understand the point of the socket system besides the fact that it adds parts.

I had this on my old rack and I enjoyed it. It loosened more often that I would have liked but tightening it isn’t much of an issue. It felt good on my hands and I used it for years for pull ups.

I’m not a fan of the knurling on the pull up bar. It limits the comfort for higher reps as your hand is more likely to move. It feel amazing for like 5 reps and then it gets uncomfortable. Not a big deal, but at this price point I’m not sure why you would pay more for something with that kind of issue. They look cool!
