I got these to use in the driveway instead of full mats since I can stash tiles easier that mats. Little to no smell, but I did let them air out. They come with little plastic pieces to hold them together, seems to work fine. I’ve used them mostly to adjust the height or blocks or a box, which is really handy. I do notice a slight compression when some weight is on them.
