Nautilus Gen 1 Rowing Torso

Nautilus Gen 1 Rowing Torso

Discontinued

A rare 1970s Arthur Jones-designed machine, often found refurbished in old-school gyms, that isolates the rear deltoids, traps, and rhomboids. Known for its heavy, cast-iron construction and cam-driven resistance, it enables maximum upper-back contraction by eliminating grip-related fatigue.

I picked this up at auction knowing it was one of the more rare pieces to come across for the Gen 1 and 2 lines. Thought I would just resell it but it actually feels pretty awesome. Chain-drive smoothness, extra cushion pad for the bottom seat to raise you up if needed and an extra front pad for the chest to set you back or lock you in more firmly. The contraction really brings the back into play differently than a rear fly and feels awesome. Love burning these up for higher reps or FST7 style sets with minimal rest. Got this in pristine condition and super happy I did. Just have to make room for it in the rest of the gym.
