Oak Club Iron

Got this as a blem discount (nothing noticeable, pretty mint) and I figured my future kids might get a kick out of it on rainy days as I had a space jam net when I was little and loved it. It's fun for me to mess around with but unfortunately my basement ceilings are too low to get a really good arc on a jump shot. Also as Big Adrian mentioned, the ball and even the mesh, really require an upgrade. Still it's a fun little addition to the gym. I originally bought the Bells knock off and returned it because theirs requires permanent bolting to the rack whereas Oak Clubs can be moved around with a mag pin which I definitely like!

A fun item just to have around the gym. I have the original version and it comes with a yellow and black ball that doesn’t look great. The ball with the new version looks much better.

I think I have the 3. I like it because it's Oak Club, but it's not the typical overbuilt quality I'm looking for. I bought a genuine leather size 1 (5" diameter) ball from indoorhooper.com and it was a worthy upgrade. Another review mentions a good basketball, but the ball that came with mine you can get in packs of three at the dollar store. I don't like when Bells of Steel knocks off smaller manufacturers, but I saw their version of this net, and even though their backboard is ugly, the ball is quality. I didn't know this before buying this net, but apparently miniature basketball quality is of great concern to me. Maybe I will start a review channel.

I have the new version 3 and I really like it. I like the ball that it comes with over the original and the fact that the backboard is like the original now. It fits well on the rack and adds some fun to the gym.

I have the Iron 1 and 2. I prefer the Iron 1, which the newest version (3) is most similar to. These are a fun little add on to any gym and are a big hit with kids. That being said the build quality on them is not the best, with low quality basketballs and issues with the rims bending or coming loose.
