As a former powerlifting meet director I got to buy and use so many power bars from Rogue to Eleiko and everything in between. My Ivanko raw stainless steel power bar is my favorite bar of all time to use. The knurling is very grippy but not sharp, the tolerances and build quality is second to none. I was able to buy 2 brand new bars some guy imported and never used. My biggest home gym regret ever is selling that second bar off and not keeping it.

Different runs have different knurling. My copy is not passive. It may be the best power bar ever made. But it is damn hard to find and damn expensive when you do. This bar places the plates about an inch further apart than most bars do---about the same spacing as the old school Texas power bar. Maybe this is useful if you don't want to hit your uprights walking out a squat. Pretty inconsequential for most people otherwise. They use a mountain type knurl. At least that is what is on my bar. Again, different runs have different knurls so there may be variability there. My version has knurl that is a little less aggressive than a Texas power bar, but not by much.

This bar is one of the hardest to find as it's always out of stock. The overall build quality on this can't be beat. It has superb tolerances and really top notch finishes. The downside of this particular bar is the knurling is some of the most passive you'll find. The bar is also extremely expensive with used copies still selling for well over $1000. The only reason I gave the value a 2 instead of 1 is b/c if you do choose to sell one, you'll likely get your money back if not more b/c of it's scarcity.
