For about $10 they fulfill a role as a slim, inexpensive collar. I do always have an anxiety of pinching myself when I close them but they have been secure for me over the last 3ish years. Some companies that use this design have magnets, mine do not. I’ve heard that while Bells of Steel’s version has magnets, they don’t really hold to a rack anyway (no shade to Bells, I expect this is the case for all companies that use this type of clamp).
These are still much better than spring clips and I would recommend them for folks are low on barbell sleeve space (shorty bar users for example).

Not a fan of these style collars. Loosen up pretty easily

Not fun to use whatsoever, edges are sharp, plastic is cheep and its nasty to open and close. its cheep, so if your on a budget it will get you by

Very inexpensive, and honestly they feel that way. The plastic lever feels like it might not stand up to rough use for very long. They slip on and clamp down easily, but if there is any weight vibrations from repeated drops, you will see a tiny bit of plate migration by the end of the set. I used these for some heavy BB rows and got almost 1cm of play in the plates by the end of the set. There doesn't seem to be a way to increase the tension in the clamp, so you just get what you get.
