Powerlifting Bar

Powerlifting Bar

Intended explicitly for powerlifting and to match IPF specs, the Powerlifting Bar is designed for people whose three favorite words are squat, bench, and deadlift. This is one of the best powerlifting bars you can get for the money. A bold claim, I know - but the Barenaked Powerlifting Bar won Garage Gym Reviews' Best Budget Power Bar in 2022 & 2023. Add it to your gym to hop on the gainz-train to Muscleville.

Great bar, super aggressive knurling. Definitely will not be dropping a deadlift anytime soon!

Most aggressive knurling I’ve tried yet. Closest comparison is the rogue deadlift bar but I haven’t tried aggro or Texas bars. For being bare steel it never really developed any rust. Knurling was a bit much for me so I sold it. I’m not a huge fan of the BoS super ribbed sleeve. Not a very pleasurable sound.

For the price its a solid bar. The knurling is decent, and I haven't felt anything better at it's price point. I've only loaded about 180kg on it, but I didn't notice any significant bending or issues banging around at that weight. I did have some minor issues with rust, but that was self inflicted as it lived outside under cover for a few months. It cleaned off fine. If you have all the money in the world there are probably better options, but if you just want a sick powerlifting bar that isn't stupidly expensive he is your guy.

Bought in 2018, I really like this bar and it is the best BOS purchase I have made. The knurl and overall feel is great. The value is incredible. I really have no complaints. I have had no issues with rust and clean it infrequently, however I do live in a dry climate. This has always helped me get strong.

Had a chance to use this bar for squats. Bare steel version. Checking the price online this is a great budget option where you're getting a good quality bar for a great price. My only complaint is the sleeves didn't spin very well but this may be due to the gym not maintaining the bar and not an actual issue with it.

Purchased the Bells of Steel Onyx Powerlifting Cerakote Bar in February 2021 (5 years now) for $249.99 and free shipping. This thing is solid AF. I use it mostly for deadlifts because it’s already setup in my deadlift area, but if I had one more of these, I’d enthusiastically use it for Squats and Bench too. The knurling is aggressive and I love that about it. I also own a Rogue SS OPB and I love the BoS bar almost as much. Was definitely worth the purchase.

I have the bare steel bar in a finished basement with a dehumidifier. Knurling feels great and there’s been no rust issues after a year with minimal maintenance. I also have the cerakote version as well. The knurling is not as aggressive and the bar gets slicker. It will show wear on the sleeves quicker.

This is my daily driver. I’ve had this bar for about 2 years and it’s great - super affordable, good quality, nice knurling. It came with a few tiny dimples and marks on the collars, but you wouldn’t notice unless you were looking for them. Otherwise, the bar looks and performs great. Plus, it was super affordable. Just make sure you’ve got a dehumidifier in your space (unless you live in a dry climate) if you buy the bare steel.

An almost perfect clone of your IPF spec barbell. The knurling honestly leaves you wanting more and lacks that "sharp" quality. That being said the value is undefeated vs. the other options.

This has been my main bar for 2 years now and I couldn't be happier with it! The price was great and has handled quite the beating. I keep it brushed and oiled regularly so I haven't had rust issues.
