Selectorized Hip Abduction + Adduction (Inner/Outer Thigh) Machine Version 2

Good machine, does what it’s intended to do and does it well. The resistance starts immediately with both movements. It’s pretty compact but there are better options that give this a run for its money. Assembly was such a pain in my left testicle, it took me awhile to like it again after that nightmare but happy to report no issues since. Not the best, not the worst.

Great machine. Assembly is a little challenging, and the cable could be slightly longer to allow full adjustment. I plan to reach out to TOG to see if they can send a longer one. I’ve had the machine for a few weeks now and it’s excellent—great resistance, smooth movement, solid range of motion, and very comfortable. They recently upgraded the leg width adjustment rod so it extends higher, and it looks like I bought mine just before that update came out. One thing I really like is the weight stack. It’s much heavier than most abductor/adductor machines. Usually I can max these machines out pretty easily, but that’s not the case here. This one gives plenty of room to keep progressing. The only small downside is that the plates are kilogram plates. The stickers show both kg and lb, but the increments don’t line up with nice even 5–10 lb jumps. Honestly, not a big deal for such a solid machine. Originally I was planning to buy a used commercial machine, but I went with TOG because it’s more compact and much easier to get into a basement gym without a walk-out. I have this and the TOG Pendulum Squat and would highly recommend both. And as always, TOG’s customer service is top notch—they even sent me a free T-shirt after my Pendulum review.

I am overall happy with this, especially for the price, but a few things almost drove me to madness. The assembly process was mostly fine except for everything under the seat. You have to assemble that big hoobajoob and then "slide" it under the seat. The problem is it is so tight, and the bearings are angled, that it scratches the hell out of the power coat. So that was frustrating. It would also be nice if the back pad adjusted. I must have short femurs because that is a recurring theme with me. Other than that, the actual function of the machine is great.
