Slim Gym Wall Mounted Functional Trainer

Slim Gym Wall Mounted Functional Trainer

Most cable machines demand more than just floor space. They take over your layout, block walkways, and force you to build your gym around them. Walls with doors or tight clearances often get written off entirely. The Slim Gym changes that entirely. At just 5" deep, 33" wide per tower, and 80" tall, Slim Gym is the thinnest way to bring true cable training into your space. Its low-profile height makes it easier to fit under standard residential ceilings while delivering serious performance in a footprint slimmer than most storage systems. Run a single tower for focused cable work. Pair them up to create a functional trainer or crossover station. Add the protruding J-cups and Front Feet to unlock squat rack capability without sacrificing your footprint. Built with 3x3 uprights and 1" holes, the Slim Gym integrates into our open ecosystem so your setup can evolve as your training grows. One tower or two. Cable system or rack. Minimal footprint. Maximum capability.

My only complaint is that when the two units are joined together it is impossible to get a normal sized magpin or similar pin like a UDA in side-to-side. I was hoping I could use the center post as a stand along upright but it only works for about half the things. Pegasus seat works well as well as a Voltra mount like JD’s or the F6 one that goes through to the back as long as you use stringers to give just a little space to reach around and tighten the bolt down. I would advise separating them a few inches so both the internal uprights become more usable. I did mount the extra upright to the wall but the weird hole spacing necessary for the cables etc makes a few of the higher spots not usable. Gets the job done though to mount my UDA to the wall and for my leg roller to be permanently attached

I just got this installed yesterday in the dual configuration. Both cables travel smoothly and it seems like lots of thought was given to the design of this machine but with one glaring issue. The height of this machine is only 80 inches and you cannot use the top holes of the chrome uprights if you are planning the pull the cable across the front of the machine. The pulleys will catch on the machine, preventing movement. This is not a deal breaker but it’s a problem if you want to do an exercise such as cable flyes. Other than that, it does everything you would think a cable machine does and it does it well. Installing this on the wall was a pain in a garage. You really need to put lots of time into getting the feet level since this is mounted onto the wall. I would suggest this only if you’re installing into a basement so you don’t have to go through what I did. There are definitely some trade offs but that’s what you’re signing up for with a piece that’s designed to be as small as possible.
