Strap Safeties 2.0

Strap Safeties 2.0

Upgrade from standard Pin-Pipe Safeties to REP’s Strap Safeties 2.0. These reinforced nylon straps are much gentler on your barbell than metal, but they’re just as tough with a weight capacity of 700lbs (1000 Series) and 1,000lbs (5000 Series). Heavy-duty bolts secure the straps to the brackets. Quickly slide them into the uprights of your power rack like a J-cup and flip them into place. The patent-pending design secures brackets in place and prevents them from rotating when being pushed laterally. They are also uniquely adjustable, as the front and back ends can be mounted at different heights.

I haven’t had to test whether these can actually hold a failed lift, but I can’t imagine them not holding up — these things are built solid and heavy. They have the typical high quality you’ve come to expect from REP. The straps feel strong and the hardware is well-made. My only real wish is that they stored easier. Right now they usually end up on the floor or hanging awkwardly on a vertical part of the rack. Overall, they’re a reliable, heavy-duty safety option that should give you peace of mind during heavy lifts.

They work. Had a slight mishap and they held the weight when I got stuck on the bench.

REP Fitness Strap Safeties 2.0 are great and love how much quieter they are when the bar hits it. Can't go wrong with them.

Work better than the first iteration which had some issues. These straps had more slack than other brands.

These are an upgrade to the Rogue Monster Lite straps included in my RML-390. The brackets are UHMW-lined and fit snugly on my rack, unlike the Rogue options.

These are necessary for safety. They are a good value. I like them because it gives some flex so bar can hit them and not mess up movement. Also you can even hang them uneven if you need to. They are strong as well.
