I've been using the Tank MX twice in my basement for a little over 1 year. No issues with build quality or performance and the tires are still at full pressure. I've only had to air them up once at initial assembly. I decided to buy this + a rubber roll over a traditional weight-loaded sled + turf roll. From my research it seemed that the rubber roll would hold up longer than a turf roll, so I went with the Tank MX option. I use it for strength-endurance movements inspired by Ben Patrick: push down, pull back by walking backwards with tow strap. My space is 58'L x 5'W. The Tank is huge, and combined with the tow strap length + my body I probably only travel 40' in each direction which feels short / less than desirable. I wouldn't recommend it with any space smaller than mine. The tank will BRUTALLY expose any asymmetries by drifting/turning slowly and it's hard to correct for. This is a pro and a con because while helpful, it makes the workout far more annoying than I imagine a traditional sled would. Whenever I use the Tank, it's set to max resistance level + MX mode. This resistance is "strong enough", but I wouldn't want anything less and wish I had the option for more resistance. That said, after 15 laps I'm gassed and my lower legs and feet are on fire. (For reference: I'm 195lb, regularly jog 4 miles at around 9:00min/mile and a few months ago did front squats at 225lb for 5x5). While I don't intend to sell the Tank MX, I wish I had gone the traditional sled + turf roll option.

My next door neighbor has one and we call it “Lucy” short for Lucifer. We would take it out during the brutal hot summer days and load it up and drag it down the street. The construction is great and it will kick your butt. It’s big and awkward to store (he’s getting rid of it for that reason)

The Tank MX is in fact a tank, much heavier than expected. Its max resistance offers a challenge, but it really shines with light to moderate loads for speed work and longer pushes that deliver a great burn. It’s well built, rolls smoothly on multiple surfaces, and the tires have held up far better than the M1’s. The main drawbacks are that you need plenty of space to get the most out of it. If your push/pull lane is short or cramped, the experience won’t be ideal. It tends to drift slightly left or right during hard pushes. The price is on the higher end, if you’re concerned about noise or surface damage, this sled is an excellent choice.
