This is the only squat bar I’ve ever used so take my review with a grain of salt. I like to have the bar or implement needed to train for whatever equipment will be at a meet, I used this bar for about 6months straight and it did a phenomenal job. Sharp knurling that practically put holes in my shirts but the bar never moved an inch once it was set. Like all my Texas bars I chose the black zinc with chrome sleeves and the coating looks as fresh as the day she came out the tube.

I used this at a local powerbuilding gym recently. It's a great bar. Very durable and barely any whip. I may end up getting one of these for my own home gym. I wasn't able to get a picture of the exact bar I used, but this was what it looked like.

I’ve only ever used one other squat bar and that was the Rogue in bare steel used in public gym. My TPB Squat Bar is a pink cerakote and I’m the only person using it. The complaints people have with cerakote dulling to the knurling is exaggerated, it still bites. The thickness of the bar feels like it staples it to your back when squatting. But if you have limited space, this is a very long bar. Be aware of that. For most training it is an unnecessary luxury, but as a luxury, a new toy, this is fun bar. Get it in cerakote. Get a fun color. I like that my biggest and beefiest bar is pink.

So glad I went and purchased this bar. The length allows me to actually get my hands comfortably on the bar. Very little flex allows me to squat with confid nice. Love the knurling, definitely won't slip on my back.

Hot take. My least favorite squat bar, much prefer the rogue squat bar or texas monster squat bar. Starts to get some whip to it in the 500lbs and I'd prefer it to be more stiff. Still a great bar not denying that just not my favorite

I got mine used, and that shows on the green painted center knurling. Inherently it’s usually not the best idea to fill in center knurling on a squat bar with paint, but that’s ok. Bar served us well for several years before we made a couple upgrades and sold this down the line to a gym where it’s still in use.

Bought this for a few reasons... 1. TPB are the best 2. It's what's used in competition 3. Shoulder issues not allowing me to get my hands on the bar within my power rack I can now squat with a straight bar with no shoulder pain

So nice I bought it twice! Training with so many different levels of squatters it just made sense to have two Texas Squat Bars. Like the TPB and TDB great feel, great knurling and sturdy as ever.

Sturdy, just right knurling and super stiff. Perfect bar for super heavy squats, and can’t go wrong with made in USA!! If you can find one on market place you should jump on it
