The Dane 1.0
The Dane 1.0 was replaced by the 2.0, which features improvements such as enhanced cable travel and redesigned components (e.g., Red Warhawk pulleys). The 1.0 is considered a great value, particularly when discounted, and is compatible with most, if not all, of the same attachments as the 2.0.

I wanted a rack / cable system combo, I looked at rep first, and I couldn’t spend that kind of money right now. So I opted for the Dane. I chose the Dane 1.0 strictly on the discount since fringe was trying get rid of them. Quality is good cables are good I like the 1:1 ratio but now that I’ve used the rack for about 10 months, one thing I wish I could do is move the stacks to the back like the rep Athena to do more with the rack and utilize the inside. Having stacks in the middle renders the middle of the rack useless. And limits you to use the front only, none of this is actually negative this is a solid rack but based on preference these are things that limited what I like to do. But the rack as a whole is great especially for the cost.

Despite this turning out to be the beta version of The Dane 2.0, I'm pleased with it. The cable travel is an issue, but it's nothing a couple of daisy chains won't solve. The 10lb weight jumps can be a lot depending on the movement, so I would recommend investing in some sort of adder weight. I think Fringe has a couple of options. I would be careful on which add-ons you get. I bought the multi-grip pullup bar. I wouldn't do that again. I also bought the tray, which is fine. I would also look elsewhere for a lat pulldown seat. There are better options on the market.
I have used a 2.0 and the difference aside from the cable travel was negligible. Outside the fact that all innovation seems to be compatible with the 2.0 version only, this isn't a bad machine for my purposes.
