TorQ Gear Wedge Squat Wedge System

I really struggle as an older lifter with ankle mobilty and I like lifting off plates, I bought this for my Force USE compact leg press but ended up using it weekly for barbell squats. Is pretty rugged and looks cool, wasn't cheap but is well made and I like to support smaller entrepreneurs like this company. Has two levels but I generally use the tallest setting. Is great for kettle bell squats, too. Wish it came is a slightly wider version as my stance is wide.

Great wedge with a lot more adjustability than a typical wedge. Build quality will need to be seen over time. Overpriced a bit.

Waited two months to get this for my pendulum squat so the angle I would be pressing would be easier on my knees. Didn’t know it was made from styrofoam, it kinda feels like those cheapo coolers you get from a market. I was expecting it to be a polymer blend or something else for the price. We will see if it holds up long-term but for now, the board does the job and it is light to move around so that’s a plus. The strap inside is a brilliant idea because the top plate of my pendulum isn’t fully magnetic and it keeps the wedge from slipping. The magnets kinda move around in its place so that’s kind of worrisome since they had updated it to a screw in one but not sure how it’s attached to the foam itself. All in all, it does what it’s supposed to do, so if you’re looking for a wedge that’s lightweight, this one is good enough.

I was skeptical at first especially with the $100 price tag, but what you get is worth it imo. It comes in 3 pieces, the main flat piece that holds the hooks, 10°, and 20° wedge. It also comes with an extra pair of even grippier tape that can be swapped with the existing tape it comes with. You can use this on so many exercises and machines. I personally use it for squats, lunges, leg press and as a hip thrust foot platform. The ROM it made possible for me was surprising, I didn’t expect it. Highly recommend.
