Vertical Plate Tree 2.0

Vertical Plate Tree 2.0

The simple, old-school plate tree is still the gold standard when it comes to efficient bumper storage at affiliates and garage gyms around the globe. That said, there’s always room for a little refinement. Rogue’s updated Vertical Plate Tree—built in the USA—improves on traditional models with a reinforced triangle-plate base, optional wheels for mobility, and re-positioned posts that enable full-size Oly plate storage on all three tiers. The unit’s new bolt-together design also reduces shipping costs while maximizing overall stability. Compatible with any and all IWF standard Olympic plates, the Vertical Plate Tree 2.0 is equipped with six 12” long storage posts (three on each side) constructed from 1.5” Schedule 40 pipe. Each of the posts on the roughly four-foot tall tree are evenly spaced at 18.275" on center to offer a good mix of versatility and storage capacity.

I picked this up off marketplace for $50 - so instant 5 stars on value. It’s built like a tank and the pegs are extra long and can hold a ton of weight.

I love this weight tree! Super heavy duty, great size, and has holes to add extra stuff. I added a 5/8” fringe sport weight peg to it to hold my 1.25kgs. I feel like rogue should add something similar as an add on option. Also, My local Powerlifting gym has a bunch of these with reds loaded on the middle peg all the way to the end and this tree doesn’t bat an eye. More than tough enough for my home gym, I keep ~900 lb on it. The powder coat does come off with heavy use, but that’s not a huge deal to me.

I have 2 of these weight trees with the wheels. The wheel i would pass on getting if you have mats on the floor. Honestly I would pass on the wheels even if they weren't on mats. You're not going to be moving a loaded weight tree anyway. But they do have super long horns which is awesome for storage and lots of plates. I love these things.

Looks great and holds the weight no problem. Recommend getting the Rogue Monster Lite Short Plate Storage Post Pair (trying saying that fast) to hold extra change plates etc. The main issue with this weight tree are the posts. They are powder coated, which look great, but the powder coat just scraps off, leaving bare steel exposed and black dust over your plates and then barbell. The inside of the posts also don't have a rubber gasket to prevent plates hitting the central post or bolts. I think Rogue went for a certain look/style rather than function with this one.

This is a very heavy duty plate tree! It’s very stout and holds a lot of weight. Currently I only have 550lbs of plates on mine. I did order mine with casters and I’m really glad I did as it helps move it around the gym easier. The finish on the weight horns has started to wear off in some areas but nothing crazy. I feel like this weight tree will last me forever. It also has a nice little area to tuck my Kleeva Built Genesis Jack into between the brackets and keeps it out of the way. Some people might think this is over built for what it is, and they might be right. I like mine. Even though you just hang plates on it.

It worked great for us. Only reason we got rid of it was to switch to wall storage for increased floor space. It is quite difficult to move without the wheels. There are two bolts at the base that will scratch uo your plates if you push them all the way on. To solve that problem, look into this: https://shop.apertureengineeringllc.com/products/weight-storage-spacer-donuts-for-2-pegs

Solid weight tree. I have the one with wheel attachments which can be useful if you like to roll your weights outside to train. Not the best for competition plates storage as the wheels don't work above certain weights.

Great product. I opted out of the wheels, because I don't see myself moving it around. I'm sure there are tons of other tree storage options out there of equal quality for less cost. Buying items from Rogue, you kind of expect to pay more, unfortunately, but you also know you're going to get a solid piece.

Good quality but if you have a ton of reds on one side since it's bolted together and people push them around the gym they can lean, a fully welded together weight tree is much better but I understand they didn't go that route to help with costs on shipping and labor
