For a first barbell, it's perfectly fine. It's very basic and gets the job done. The knurling is very passive and the collars spin okay. It's no Texas Power Bar.

The only way I'd own this bench, is if someone gave it to me and even then, I'd still upgrade ASAP. We had these at my firehouse and they wobble, the pins don't line up properly, and I've seen the pin pop out while someone was Incline benching. I'm sure they've upgraded the build quality in recent time, but I'd still tell you to buy a different bench.

I've used a handful of axle bars in the past but this is the first one I've owned and I must say, throw away your cheaper bars and upgrade. Pros: It's 45lbs, so no silly plate math. Center and other hand placement marks. Nice powdercoating. Classy looking end caps. Cons: you're a cheap bitch and don't want to spend the extra money on it.

Very basic strap for a reasonable price. My only complaint is I wish the loops had some padding, but that would most likely increase the cost. For under $20, throw it in with your next elitefts order.

An essential piece of equipment if you're trying to blow up your bench / triceps. High quality foam that won't break down (like the cheap knockoffs will)

An upgrade from the j hooks that came with the rack. Much heavier duty and stable. Worth the extra money.

For a j hook that comes free with the rack, it works just fine. I'd recommend upgrading to the sandwich j hooks at some point.

I'm serious about lifting. But also not too serious that I can't have some fun. Being a proud member of the Silly Goose Barbell Club, is seriously silly business.
