Dirtbag old school clydesdale mountain biker and endurance nerd who lifts in winter. Reformed old school tri geek. PTSD warrior and survivor. Now days events are peak bagging with a mtb and exploring remote locations.

Wasn’t really absolute want. Just hard to curb old ingrained old school dirt bag ways. Left over pipe from the DIY axle bar build. Decided on a whim to make use of it. Bit of drilling after numerous measurements to get centre. Trip to local Home Hardware for an eye bokt, washers, nuts, and some crazy glue. Once assembled once…to decrease nut backing off crazy glued the threads and tightened it all up. Good to go with a daisy chain for a wee bit of a fat grip type cable handle.

Is it worth the headache of the application process? Is improvement in any athletic activity worth it? Yes. Not a power lifter however being a CTF al facility saw an over minute time improvement on a time trial course. So clearly a CTF in strength training is guaranteed to improve your sports performance.

Bigger so can hold the endurance athlete size metal cups. And less chance of your ADHD brain forgetting it’s on the floor and having a beverage abuse incident.

Built back in 2019. Back in 1985-86 in parents basement it was a chunk of 2x4 on the floor. This was the 2019 version. Piece of longish 2x4 and couple of short pieces of 2x4 deck screwed together. Still in use 7 years later. Maybe one day make an updated version if ever get around to it.

Food grade Ropak bucket free from a local Mr Sub. Big bulk bag rice added. Done. Simple and effective option for hand or forearm strength and conditioning. And lots on YouTube of what ways one can use it for forearm training.
