The TacTec® Trainer Weight Vest from 5.11 is constructed from durable 600D polyester with breathable mesh body pads and shoulder strap padding. The versatile and compact carrier (13" H x 10" W x 1" D) is compatible with 5.11’s line of weight plates, as well as the TacTec® Weight Plate Sandbag and Rogue’s standard, USA Cast, and Echo vest plates (they are NOT designed for use with GORUCK plates).

I've tried a lot of different styles of weight vests and this is by far the most comfortable. A little expensive but I think the value is still there because it'll last forever.

Got this four use outside the gym, it looks a little bit less tactical (especially with the duck) fits really well and material is really nice. Feels more comfortable than the main 511 vest

Purchased the 5.11 Tactec Trainer Weight Vest in April of 2022 after searching for some time for the ideal weight vest. This vest is extremely comfortable, equipped with adjustable shoulder straps/cummerbund and mesh padding. The Cati Armor 8.75lb Fitness Plates pair well with this vest. Priced competitively at $160.00 this is a great buy for anyone looking for a weighted vest.

This is the best weight vest for heavy movement weighted pushups for sure and comfort rucking i recommend the rogue plates that are USA that are contoured.

The best vest there is. Somehow it’s comfortable for any workout. I had rolled plates in mine and love it. It’s been through hell over the last 7 years and still looks new.

This is my go to weight vest. Great comfort for long and heavy use. Light weight and it dry's quickly. The way the plates secure is easy to adjust and holds heavy plates secure. Has some traditional features of a normal tac vest, but size is significantly reduced to be used specifically for workouts. The comparable vest is the classic 5.11. This is the gold standard in my opinion.
