Honestly they have been a pretty good addition to the gym early on. Saved a ton of space and did their job. I've been building a set of iron and use them less now. Complaints would be too bulky, grips fatter than I prefer, and can get stuck from time to time but that's been rare. Ideal for saving space but if you have room I think i would just slowly build a set as your weight need increase.

Don't use these anymore, since getting a full set of fixed dumbbells, but they did the trick while I used them. A little too big to be comfortable in hand though.

Honestly have liked these since downsizing my old Hex dumbell set & rack to make more room in the gym.
Build quality is a bit flimsy, not a huge problem if you’re not throwing them around.
Good upgrade build kits available on averagejoeinnovations.com that allows you to swap out the plastic discs for metal ones and swap the handles with a better knurled one.

Disappointing longevity and ergonomics. After owning two sets, both broke within two years because the plastic adjustment gears aren't built to last. Be prepared for a headache if they break, as your only repair option is buying unofficial parts on eBay. I also found the handle geometry quite awkward, which makes the distribution feel 'off' during workouts.

I wouldn’t drop them often, sorta flimsy, but they haven’t failed me just yet. Easily adjustable.
I don’t use dumbbells much in general, so I didn’t wanna dish out the cash or waste space on a full rack. These are plenty enough for basic use.

A few friends of mine have these they are easily adjustable. They are a good option but definitely have they’re flaws and some parts feel cheap.

These dumbbells are awkwardly large making it difficult to perform some exercises but overall they are decent. They can typically be found used for cheap and make for a good starter set.
