AbMat
By supporting your lumbar spine and eliminating space between your back and the floor, the AbMat increases stability while isolating your abdominals for a total core workout. With the AbMat positioned beneath your spine at the start of a sit-up, you get a full stretch of your abdominal muscles, which is impossible to obtain on a flat surface. As you rise, your pelvis is supported, allowing your muscles to fully contract and resulting in a more thorough and effective workout.

Got at HomeGymCon straight from the owners of the company. Great people with a great mission. They accidently sold it twice but got our info and shipped one out to us right away.

Abmats have become a staple piece of equipment for me. I originally started using them in CrossFit for sit-ups. I have used them as spacers for handstand push-ups, cushioning for knees during lunges and stretching. I have purchased the original Abmat and knockoffs. The Abmat cushioning and material is the best. The picture is from a Rage Fitness one which is functionally fine, but not as well cushioned and has obviously seen better days.

Not sure anything could replace it. Maybe a different foam? It’s useful for so much. Sit-ups on the ground. Something to kneel on. Or tap your knee to for lunges. I also use it for my low back with my leg developer for lying leg extensions and prone leg curls.

I think this is a very underrated piece of equipment and really high quality. I've seen other versions compress and lose shape over time, but this one has held up great after a few years. I use it weekly for weighted situps since it helps you get a bigger stretch in your abs as opposed to laying on flat ground. It also comes in handy for stretching/mobility work. Made in USA is a plus, too.

Simple addition to the gym that holds up great, grippy texture on the back means it doesn't move when its underneath on the floor or a bench

Not the abmat one, but something similar I could find here in Canada. Good product, really like the flat surface for putting my knees while doing mobility work.

I have to admit I hardly use this any more but its a good piece and probably should be in every gym.

I am not a fan. I don’t ever use this and it just sits in the gym sad and lonely. I personally can say my back feels worse with this. No issues with the product I just don’t think it’s a number one must have item. JenP

Very high quality product! I use it mainly as a knee pad for various exercises. Despite taking a beating it always bounces back!
