Bar and Weight Plate Tree

Bar and Weight Plate Tree

Organize and store your plates with the Bar and Weight Plate Tree. This freestanding unit features six total weight horns that fit bumper and iron plates on every level. Each horn is chrome coated, so the plates can slide on and off easily. This also reduces flaking paint and protects your plates. With both a front and rear barbell tube, the Bar and Weight Plate Tree can also hold two barbells. The tree is super sturdy, too. With a weight capacity of 850lbs, the Bar and Weight Plate Tree can hold plenty of plates and is built to last. Alone, it weighs 35lbs and is 24”(L)x24”(W)x50”(H).

Wanted a weight tree that could store all the plates in my gym including bumpers - this does that. I believe it has an 850lbs capacity and I have 715lbs on there currently without any obvious issues. Fairly easy to put together & I like the chrome sleeves for cosmetic purposes over time. I was able to pick this up on sale on REP’s website.

Great weight tree that doesn’t wobble. Efficient use of space, holds plenty of weight with confidence. Nice to have the barbell holders as extra if needed, without adding to the blueprint.

I bought this early in my home gym journey and it has served me well. It's built using heavy steel and is quite sturdy regardless of how much weight is stored on it. I particularly like that the horns are spaced far enough apart that each horn can store standard weight plates of any size--this design feature means it's very well suited for storing bumper plates. I also like that the horns have a chrome exterior, so they are rust resistant and the coating doesn't scrape-off when loading and removing weight plates.

Perfect for me. I don't have many plates (right now) about 555 lbs worth from Strength Co and this tree fits all of them easily. I also only have 1 bar currently so the bar storage is more than enough. Small footprint, good price.

For whatever reason, the item sent me was a little sketchy. The basic premise of this style of plate tree is easy to grasp, and the plates should not move the whole vertical portion whilst taking off and putting on. It's a simple "H" design and it should be very stable. I didn't have wheels on it, so that should have made it even sturdier. All the bolts were tightened but not overly so. Anyway, I didn't trust it, especially with family members using the tree as well, so I sold it and bought the Irwin Fitness branded option, which is sturdier (same design). It's a pity, because most of my Rep kit has been good to me.

Wish the weight horns were longer, where I could comfortably fit six 45’s per side. Material isn’t as heavy duty as some other, more commercial, brands but given the value it is no surprise. Overall happy with it, as my plates are off the floor.

Decent weight tree, the bar holders are nice but if you have more than two bars I’d recommend a larger, dedicated bar holder and a weight tree with more dedicated plate storage. Would be better if this particular type was wheels or movable when loaded. Plenty of spacing between the horns for bumper plates or 45’s on all 3 horns. Would also be better if the horns were bolted to frame instead of secured with set screws which tend to loosen frequently and cause one side to be uneven. Selling mine soon and it will be replaced by Synergy rack with bar holders as well as dedicated bodymasters plate holders.

This plate tree is solid. Bought it new and held all my plates as intended! Easy to assemble and looks great. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for!

Bought mine used. I like that it has bar storage as well as plate storage. This thing is built like a tank and won’t ever need to be replaced. If I were buying new, I would probably choose a different one that had wheels, but if you know where you want it and plan to set it and forget it, then the wheels are not needed.
