Ben Vintage Weight Plates
These tri-spoke deep-dish plates feature nicely rounded edges and were originally well-crafted in Canada and attributed to Ben Weider. However, after being imported from China, the quality declined, resulting in rougher edges and imperfections.

The standout feature of these plates is their tri-spoke deep, dish design. This classic look provides a deep lip that makes the plates significantly easier to manuever and pick up off the floor compared to modern flat-faced plates. They are prominently embossed with "BEN" and "STANDARD 45 LBS," a nod to their association with bodybuilding pioneer Ben Weider.

One of the few value deep dish out there. Deep hub great for feats of strength.

One of my favorite vintage plates I have been able to add to my gym for obvious reasons.

excellent daily drivers. They feel good, sound good, and are reasonably accurate for an old-school deep dish plate. These live on the rack and get used frequently. For a vintage plate they are very accessible, typically only running $2-3 per lb. They pop up on FB marketplace from time to time.

Great tri spoke vintage plates. Especially cool of your name is Ben. Originally produced in Canada and later overseas in China. The hundos are especially cool with their exceptionally deep rim and giant spokes. Good beginner vintage plates.

"Non S-tier" vintage plates that are very cool if you get the ones that were made in Canada. I am fortunate to own a pair that once belonged to Fred Hatfield, Dr. Squat.
