BFCO Vintage Weight Plates

BFCO Vintage Weight Plates

Classic West Coast deep-dish weights, produced in Los Angeles during the golden era, offer a unique experience with their deep mold. The asymmetric markings and three-spoke design give them a distinctive look. Each plate, down to the smallest change plates, is clearly marked, enhancing both functionality and style.

These plates are very cool as far as vintage deep dish. They have very clean lettering and are a cool design. Unfortunately they are not the most accurate. They are not know for always being the cleanest casted plates. They are very popular for many collectors because Arnold Schwartzenegger trained with them in the past, but I honestly couldn't care less about that. They're a bit more hyped up than they should be in my opinion.

BFCO deep dish 45s have a classic Muscle Beach and Arnold-era vibe, and I love the sound they make going onto the bar. For vintage iron, they can still be found relatively inexpensively compared with some other deep dish plates. The downside is that they are notoriously inaccurate.

I have a pair of 35's and a pair of 10's and agree that they have a very good feel. They are harder to come by in Colorado. It seems like some vintage plates are more popular in some areas than others. The 10's pictured were painted by the previous owner in Bronco's colors.

These were never in my vintage iron wish list, but I saw an inexpensive FBM post and was opportunistic about it. They cleaned up real good, and are really cool plates. Downside is that they're pretty inaccurate, neither of mine are within a pound of 45.

True vintage deep dish plates. These make you feel like Arnold. They can’t be inaccurate is the only downfall, but weight is weight

While most of my plates are Ivanko I do have a set of BFCO deep dish. They’re not very accurate and have sloppy casting. Many times they’re overpriced. With that said they’re still sweet.

Not sure if these BFCO plates would be considered vintage or not. Either way, thinking about displaying in my gym.

Very thankful to have a complete set of BFCO vintage plates. The particular set I own were painted by a later owner in a wash of color.
