This was the first barbell I got back in 2018 when I started to get some home gym items. It served it's purpose but I did have to replace it due to the bolts that attach the sleeves shearing off, something I felt was a result of product quality rather than type of use.

This was my first barbell and it served me well for a couple of years. I upgraded not necessarily because I had to, but just because I wanted to.
It's inexpensive, the knurling is a bit passive, and my collars had some friction and didn't spin super great, but it gets the job done and handled everything the first few years of my home training threw at it

for a cheap beater bar this thing actually performs really well and punches well above its weight class. I have had mine for going on seven years. It spent a couple years outdoors under a veranda in the deep south before we moved to our present location. It has been a daily driver and has held up remarkably well. Very minimal corrosion and the knurling is still quite decent. I have squatted with over 500 pounds on this bar and it feels stable, with the central Nerling strong enough to keep it from slipping but not so aggressive that it digs into the skin of your back. An excellent choice as an entry level or budget bar... don't overthink it, just start lifting.

This was my first bar and served the purpose great, I have gotten 5 years of use out of it. It still freely spins, there is some cosmetic corrosion since the finish wasn't all that great, but the knurl has held up well and I haven't had any issues otherwise. I think the additional cost for a more premium bar is worth it, but if you are on a budget this is a nice entry level for a real bar.

The price of this barbell can be between $120 to almost $200. At the lower prices, it's not terrible. The knurling is very passive, but as a first bar, it's fine. It's 28.5 mm, and I have had some decent weight on it before. I think it's a perfectly fine budget bar if you can find at the lower prices. Check Amazon versus the Cap barbell store, but it seems like it may not be available on Amazon anymore.
