Colorado™ Bar - 20kg

Colorado™ Bar - 20kg

REP was founded in Colorado, and this barbell represents our signature, flagship bar. This 20kg bar is a premium, mixed-use barbell that comes in a variety of different Cerakote color options (black, blue, green, red, or white) with Duracoat® sleeves. Duracoat® is a chemical process that hardens the outside of the steel and changes it to a smooth black finish. It’s also available in a hard chrome finish (shaft and sleeves). Both finish options add high levels of corrosion resistance. This barbell is truly an all-purpose barbell, great for cross-training/HIIT-style workouts, powerlifting, and Olympic weightlifting. It features medium-depth, volcano-style knurling to provide good grip support without tearing up your hands on high-rep workouts. The 20kg Colorado™ bar was made with a 28.5mm diameter shaft and smooth sleeves for easy loading and unloading of weight. Composite bushings provide a smooth and consistent rotation with added durability. The bushings also create a dampening effect that reduces noise if you drop the barbell. The Colorado™ bar is finished with premium, metal endcaps with unique designs and laser-etched branding on the inner sleeves.

Great bar. The knurling is a little passive for my taste, but the finish has held up great.

I do love this bar but I think it could have a slightly more aggressive knurl. I've also used the Rogue Ohio Bar and I think that is a slightly better knurling and whip for olympic style lifting. The build quality is superb though! The cerakote finish and attention to detail is next level. It shipping in like 2 days for free and had perfect packaging. It is definitely a premium barbell.

I love my Colorado Bar. The knurling is just how I like it; not too aggressive, not too passive. It functions great, feels great, and looks great.

This is my first proper bar. I decided to ahead and get a nice one. Love this bar. The knurling is great. Went with the green Cerakote option and have been very pleased. Seems like the only mixed use bar I’ll ever need.

The Colorado 20kg bar was the first barbell I bought, and it has been a good daily driver for my gym. The knurling works well for me, and since I am not lifting 400+ lbs yet, it does everything I need without feeling overbuilt or overcomplicated. It is a solid, no-frills bar for general Olympic barbell work.

This bar hits the sweet spot in all categories. It has exceptional build quality at a very reasonable price. This bar has the same tight tolerances as their Double Black Diamond bar providing a great user experience. I haven't had the bar long enough to comment on the durability of the Cerakote or Duracoat finishes, but I do love having the multiple color options and am fairly confident that the finishes will stand the test of time in a home gym. The knurling feels great and isn't overly aggressive, making this a great bar for pushing exercises as well as any high-volume work.

Yup! Its a barbell. For me it was between this and the regular Ohio bar. The fact it doesn't make a loud metal on metal sound when deadlifting or bouncing off the floor is a plus that puts it above the Ohio bar for me. The endcap is a nice touch. Smooth sleeves are appreciated. Knurling is just okay, a tad bit passive IMO.

Previously I used a Lionscool (Amazon brand) bar as my daily driver. That bar had looser tolerances and more aggressive knurling. I still use it for landmine work. I had been eyeing this bar and the Rohue Ohio Power Bar for some time and then I saw this on FB Marketplace for $200. The guy only bought it to try it out, so it’s practically new and was a good deal. I think if I had bought it new I would have been slightly underwhelmed. It has a nicer finish, tighter tolerances (less noisy on things like deadlifts), and nice end caps. It’s a great bar, but I feel like everyone hypes up how important a quality bar is. Your workout will be basically the same and it really comes down to the knurling that you prefer. This bar is passive to me, but quite a few people say it’s more aggressive than the Rogue OPB. I have mostly Rep stuff and enjoy their stuff and it’s still a great product but I think the takeaway for me is that the barbell hype is a little over the top and is more niche specific or collector specific.

The quality is what you would expect from REP. The knurling is neutral. Overall an excellent bar.

I use this as my everything bar. It is the first quality bar I have ever owned. Good knurling for me. I love the color and the way it feels compared to my other bar. One drawback is that I immediately noticed scratches from loading plates. I figured it would be a tad more scratch resistant.
