Pretty much my fav plates in the world. These were my grandfathers from 1949, then my dad's, now mine! I've got an entire set with some duplicates from 1.25-25lbs, as well as some collars. Very very cool piece of history.

Value is certainly subjective on these. If you are a "weight is weight" kind of person, you should skip these. They are standard sized plates (which you can find any day on marketplace for less than a dollar per pound) but some Lurie addresses are harder to find and thus can go for many hundreds of dollars per plate pair on the collectors' market. But if you love the history of weightlifting, including all the drama behind the early manufacturing of iconic equipment, then these probably deserve a place in your collection. The address plates track the movements of Dan Lurie from his early at-home manufacturing business to his eventual broader commercial enterprise. All of the address plates are collectibles, and when his company got really large they stopped using the address altogether and then eventually the manufacturing was outsourced to overseas. Those later plates are not collectible but the early ones certainly are.

Old school standard plates with different addresses so you gotta collect them all.
