Deadlift Bar
The Bells of Steel Deadlift Bar is a purpose-built barbell designed exclusively for maximizing your deadlift, so you can lift heavier with greater control. The longer shaft increases whip, allowing the bar to flex before the plates leave the ground for improved leverage and pull mechanics. This 27mm bar is narrower than the average power bar, so you can lock in your grip for heavy pulls. Smooth, for a frictionless glide over your shins.

The bar definitely has a pronounced and aggressive knurling; however, I gave a four on performance because it might not be as sharp as some of the competitors. Also, the whip is definitely there, but again, maybe not as much as say a Texas deadlift bar.
All this being said, I like the bar and I’m glad it’s in my gym. I think it’s a great bargain, and it appears to be really durable. It gives you everything you need from a deadlift bar.

I just did a 4 plate deadlift on this yesterday. While I love bells of steel I have 1 issue with this: the knurling is passive at best. A deadlift bar should have flesh tearing bumps and this doesn’t. It’s actually kinda similar to their power bar (which is great).
Aside from that the price is decent, and they have them in stock. If knurling isn’t your thing go ahead and grab one. But I’d wait for the v2 or just go TPB

It’s a good value for the price, $300 CAD shipped. The knurling is the exact same as the knurling on the BOS power bars. I was expecting something a little sharper for a deadlift bar but everything still works fine. The sleeves are ribbed, some people like that some people don’t. I personally have no opinion on that. I’ve had it for a week and other people have also tried it and enjoyed it. It’s bare steel so it will require some maintenance to keep the rusties away.
One month update: I don’t like the ribbed sleeves. It’s real annoying to pull all the plates off at the end of the day, it would be nicer if they slid off smoothly

Nice barbell with a different sleeves. It holds the plates well. The bar performs well its whippy. The knurling is aggressive. It's my first dedicated deadlift bar and It's a big upgrade from a standard barbell. At 300$ taxes and shipping includes its a great value
