Honestly the reviews on this style of dumbbell were spot on but I do wish they stressed how freaking annoying it is to count all these plates and do plate math every single set. The knurling was not good but was good enough. The price was reasonable for the amount of weight that I could add on. The interlocking plate system was nice and the feel like actual dumbbells. Its nice that these don't rattle at all and they feel solid but my gosh the weight changing and plate math sucks.

These are a nice budget option, but if you can afford one of the upper tier brands you should go for it. If you are lifting heavy weights, I would suggest others. Overall they are built and look nice. Weights can be changed relatively quickly, but sometimes you have to take a minute to figure out the weight....some numbers on each plate would help. Once you screw the bolt in the weights stay in place. The knurling on the handles is reasonable for lighter weights but might be lacking for the heavy lifter. i have the lighter set, but I believe they are easily expandable.

These started out well enough, like others have mentioned knurling is very passive. The changing of weight is manageable until you get into supersets or training with people with different strength capabilities, then it gets to be a bit of a pain. I’ll keep them around but will likely add fixed dumbbells with microgains for the 5lb increments.

I think these are great entry level option for adjustable dumbbells. The price point for something as solid as these are is hard to beat. They’re just chunks of metal, I don’t think they can break. Like others have said, the knurling is almost nonexistent and the handle is too wide to make these comfortable to use with heavier weight. Changing plates isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever had to do, but far from convenient.

Very affordable option that's a ripoff of Ironmaster, but the slotted plates make them faster to change. The grip is pretty large in diameter to accommodate the screws, which some might see as a bonus, but it may be a bit big for those with small hands. The knurling is pretty terrible though. It can feel a little sketchy lifting them over your head since they could potentially fall out of the slot, but as long as they're tight, the extra set screws should keep them in place. Come in 50 or 80lbs, with upgraded handle kit to go to 120. Build quality is good but not perfect, which is to be expected at this price point. They finish is good, but I have had one of the set screws on the plate be a bit loose, but it's easy to tighten it with a hex wrench.

I had the heavy handle kit and weights up to 150 lb. The cheapest price for dumbbells this heavy. The issue I ran into was the knurling was not existent. I'm not a knurl snob but at heavier weights you want to feel secure. They were also very long handles with no center orientation so getting the grip spot on was a challenge. I sold these and never looked back.
