A very good loadable mace. I would recommend this one or the Weckmethod one for anyone interested in starting mace/club work. The metal feels solid even though it’s hollow to lower the overall weight to allow for lower weight additions to the mace. The lock is tight and I am not concerned about flying weights when going full speed. Great starter mace to see if you like it enough before buying a set, fully recommend. Even if you hate it, I’d imagine it’s easy to sell on marketplace or EBay since it’s so light and cheap.
Update: forgot to mention the metal version has a knurled raised grip (not full knurling but enough to grip securely without chalk)

Does anyone really know what they’re doing with these functional movement pieces? Cant beat trying to see if it’s for you with something this cheap. It’s basically a bat with a collar.
I leave a handful of change plates on it at all times and I swing it around like a sword to warm the shoulders a bit on OHP days.
There’s no texture difference on the handle for grip or the loading area, but that’s not a problem. I haven’t lost grip and tossed it across the gym, yet.
