I love these parallettes. I think in my lifetime I’ve been around every type of parallette imaginable: from PVC, to wood, to steel. These are the best I’ve used. The aluminum body makes these lighter than wood! The cork on the bottom is anti slip on virtually all surfaces. The powder coat in the aluminum is nice and has a good texture with or without chalk. And if it’s too chalky or sweaty cleanup is a breeze. They are stable at the base and do not roll across a wide range of hand positions, which can be a problem on other brands. Lastly, they stack pretty evenly for easy storage. Love these and I am planning on buying the larger size when they are available again. Highly recommend! I took off a star for value, but it’s closer to 4.5 stars if you live in the EU, where these are made. The cons: These were hit by the tariffs but like oak club they arrange a pre-paid tariff shipping option via fedex. Also, they’re expensive and have fairly limited runs. I’m guessing the Aluminum shortage due to the Iran situation will not help with availability either.

I had an older pair of these that come in red. I got rid of them for the new abmat pads. Someone mentioned that you will get stains on these pretty easy. It’s probably better now that they are come in black. I think the value to performance is great. The name is accurate, these pads will dampen sound quite a bit. I had these on a 5th floor apartment in NYC, never once got a noise complaint.

Upgraded from the Shogun sports metal sled. This is a must have if you are 1) Doing sled work 3X a week or more 2) Your terrain is mostly asphalt or NOT LEVEL 3) You’re in a residential neighborhood with a lot of neighbors and noise is a concern 3) You hate the idea of loading an reloading a metal sled everytime you use it 4) If you want to easily switch between workout partners on a single sled All of the above is DOABLE on a metal sled, but the sled will not do any of the above as well as the tank can. When I bought one I knew I was a buy-it-for-life piece and it has proven itself as such. There are some accessories that are kinda mandatory. If you need to maneuver the tank into corners or areas, there’s is a wheel attachment that lets you do that. Get it, it’s pretty solid. If you want to load with some weights, you can add the weight horn. Lastly, a belt squat strap or similar for pull work. I have a rope setup and a strap that just lives on this thing. If I had an indoor dedicated turf strip I’d probably just keep a metal sled to save money but then I’d be paying for the indoor space and the indoor heat. Not saying it will be a wash but there are hidden costs to dedicated spaces in gyms. Lastly, since this is on wheels, I’ve been able to use it over snow and compacted ice. While not optimal, it helped me keep using the sled well into the winter months. Which would be impossible in a metal sled. Great product and I don’t expect to ever sell it.

These are thrown in for pretty cheap when you get a rack from rogue. That’s probably the only circumstance in which I would not buy second hand. The design is basic and universal, so there’s not gonna be a lot of variation between manufacturers. Stores well and out of the way. Initially had these vertical on the rack but when my programming changed they went on the storage unit.

An extremely well built and versatile cardio bike. This was a lifesaver during the pandemic. I bought a refurbished one that had a crack in the frame. Not a great first impression. However, their customer service was pretty exemplary and got me a replacement within a few days, no issues 4 years and counting. I think the value you can get out of this bike is phenomenal. The ability to flip the screen over allows you to use this to run yoga or other non bike sessions without needing to use a screen in the room. And let’s be honest, if not in the gym, this is very likely to be in the den/office/nook/ extra thick hallway. So there may not be a convenient TV to cast from the app. The variety of programming is why I gave it 5 stars for value. It’s high quality video production with a big music library. So if you like jamming to royalty free music, this is not the bike for you. The build is pretty solid as it has survived several large bodies going through weight loss journeys on it. This bike is also for people that like to add attachments/accessories to things. You can buy so many parts aftermarket, this is the jeep of exercise bikes. I have mini fans, seat sliders, and bunch of other items. The world’s your oyster on this one. Get the plus over the regular. You will also forego having to bend down and adjust that tension knob constantly since the plus is automatic.
