IC4 Indoor Cycling Bike

The bike works well, however the display is from 1996 and the heart rate monitor informed me I flat lined about a week into ownership, I checked with my physician, I am very much still on this side of the dirt. This leads me to believe it broke. Otherwise it operates flawlessly and the little dumbbells are a hilarious touch.

Very solid and good indoor bike. Pros: - heavy flywheel - good adjustability of riding position - very good magnetic resistance - no chain, no maintenance Negatives: - screws are not stainless steel, so if you sweat a lot, parts of the bike will rust with time - display looks and feels cheap Overall, this is a very good spinning bike to buy for home usage. Ergonomics are very good and the flywheel and resistance are comparable to their studio bikes. I think it is highly under-appreciated that you can connect the bike to several apps like Zwift and TacX so that you can record your rides and have them synced to your training platform of choice (Garmin, TrainingPeaks etc). I've had this bike for over 7 Years now and except the rust on the screws it is still holding up nicely, so this is a solid recommendation for anyone wanting a quality spinning bike but not wanting to pay for a subscription.

I was looking for a good alternative to a peloton without the hefty price tag since I just wanted to use it for steady state cardio, and not do classes. I also didn’t need the large screens that came on other bikes. I researched a ton of bikes and this one always stayed at the top of the list. After finding out a couple people I knew had them and they gave it high praise, I decided it was worth the purchase. It has been a great bike! Super smooth. Magnetic resistance and the display gives me all of the information I need. I wish the display was powered by pedal power, or battery, but you’re supposed to plug it in. You can use the bike without the display plugged in, but then you don’t know mileage or speed. It also came with a chest strap, heart rate monitor, but I’ve never used it as I have an Apple Watch. As well as two small 3lb dumbbells. I’m very happy with this bike. I do wish I could raise the handles a little higher but it’s not a deal breaker. Other than that it’s a great piece to have in the gym!

Great bike, SUPER quiet, much cheaper than a peloton by comparison. It’s the same bike as the Bowflex model. I wish the adjustable base where the seat meets the seat post was more rounded and a lower profile.. often I’ll hit my legs on the corners when pedaling hard. On sprints/out of the saddle hard climbs it’s developed what sounds like the bottom bracket or crank arms popping after only a few months of use.

Underrated stationary bike. Pricey, but built really well. It uses magnetic resistance so it makes no noise (unlike the Concept2 BikeErg). If you don't want the subscription model that Peloton or other bikes offer, this is a great option. I mostly use it for longer Zone 2/recovery sessions and occasional interval work. The screen is simple and it connects to a heart rate monitor. Does not save your workouts or track anything within the console, so you'd need to do that manually.
