I don't know anything about kettlebells, other than the fact that I guess I'm supposed to have some in my gym. In all honesty, kettlebells are my least favorite strength implement, so take this review with a grain of salt. I bought a collection of these primarily because they're made in the USA and look beautiful. I've also used them to anchor a sunshade on my patio from time to time. OK, I have used them periodically for actual strength movements, but not enough to know how they stack up against other options. My only observation is that the grip does feel a little slick. Maybe that's user error on my part and I'm supposed to be using chalk, but I've wondered if powder coat is a more usable finish over the long term.

Pros: I have a full set of these, and overall I really like them. I love that they’re made in the USA—especially in the same place Cadillacs were made, which makes them feel that much cooler and more unique. I’ve used other kettlebells before, and the e-coat finish on these looks great and, at least for me, actually helps with grip. That said, these aren’t competition kettlebells, the handles are thicker (“chonky”), especially as the weight increases. I think that’s why some people say they feel slippery, but I haven’t had that issue personally. Cons: The only real downside I noticed is that on a few of the kettlebells I bought, the e-coating either wasn’t applied properly or didn’t hold up well. It started to come off once I got sweat on them. I’m pretty sure mine were from an early run, though, and sure Rogue has since fixed that issue.

With Kettlebells the only real difference between different brands are the finish (for grip) and the engravings/weight increments they are made in. Other than that they are solid metal and all roughly shaped the same. That being said the finish on these is much more slick than Rogue's other kettlebells which can make gripping it more difficult

It's a solid kettlebell. The coat is a little slippy, but I haven't had any problems yet.

I would say out of all of the hodge podge mix of KB’s I have, this is the nicest. The e-coat is my choice vs the powder coat on most of my other ones. Very well cast and nice finish all over.

Only knock on performance is they feel a little slick in hand compared to other brands and even styles within the Rogue family. Very solid value all things considered and probably just depends on your use for a KB

The e coat is very slick. Compared to RKC or ONNIT these are not where it’s at.

I have an e-coat and a powder Rogue kettlebell and I much prefer the finish of the e-coat. It has stood up the midwestern summer heat/humidity and the midwestern frigid temps freezing/thawing without issue. It does its job well (its a hunk of metal after all) and I would definitely purchase more sizes in this coating.
