Monster Pritchett Pad

Monster Pritchett Pad

Designed in collaboration with Strongman Legend Jerry Pritchett, the Monster Pritchett Pad gives athletes a novel and space-efficient way to do chest-supported rows. Unlike other chest-supported landmine row machines that take up a lot of room and come with expensive shipping costs, the Pritchett Pad is a small adjustable rack attachment that ships fully assembled. The unique clasp design requires no extra hardware or detent pins. Simply slide the pin into a desired 1” hole on your existing Monster Series rack upright and drop it into place. For owners of a Monster LITE rack/rig, see our Monster Lite Pritchett Pad.

Sold this after about 6 months of use (or lack thereof). I couldn’t seem to make it work for me to get into a solid position for full ROM. A one trick pony that takes up a decent amount of real estate on or off rack, especially if you have a smaller gym.

Love this for chest supported rows. I use the Rogue t bar row landmine handle or the Bells of Steel 30 d-handle bar for neutral grip.

My wife bought this for me out of the blue, which was a bit of a surprise but I love it. I had tried various "smaller footprint" rowing home gym pieces and hated them, always missing the T-Bar row from commercial gyms. This has become a mainstay of mine. Taking it on and off a metric rack is a bit of pain, but not enough to dissuade me from use. I think with how I have it dialed in now with the Exponent Edge Kickstand, feels as good if not better than a commercial T-Bar row that I don't have space for.

I know some of the reviews on this are mixed, but I honestly have to disagree with a lot of them. That said, I’ll admit I may be biased because I’ve always loved T-Bar Rows and knew I wanted some version of one in my garage gym. Recently I had to decide between buying a standalone T-Bar Row machine or going with an ISO Lat Row. I ended up choosing the ISO Lat Row after realizing I could basically create a T-Bar Row station using this pad and honestly, it’s worked out better than I expected. The pad itself is firm and supportive without being uncomfortable, which was one of my bigger concerns going in. Setup and storage are also way easier than people make them sound. I can have it ready to go in under a minute, and when I’m done it stores right on the side of my rack completely out of the way. For me, the biggest advantage was saving a pretty significant amount of money versus buying another standalone machine. In a home gym, especially for dads trying to maximize space and budget, that matters. It also works great with dumbbells if you want another training option. All that said, I do think this comes down to how much you value T-Bar Rows. If it’s a movement you absolutely want in your gym, I think this is 100% worth it. If it’s more of a “nice to have,” then I’d probably pass and put that money toward something you’ll use more often.

Does exactly what it is intended for. Space is limited and I'm too poor for a stand-alone T-Bar row machine and this works perfect. Mixed with different attachments you can hit a variety of barbell rows. Dumbbell rows work great off this too.

Great for one thing. Being short and stocky this dug into my chest. I never found a great position and probably mostly user error. I passed on buying for that and the space it takes when not in use.

Seems like a great piece of equipment, I checked it out at Rogue, but I don't see myself adding this to the gym anytime soon. Rogue always offers great stuff, but this doesn't make the top of my gym wishlist.

Got a chance to use the monster version at a gym, While it works for certain movements it's not worth the headache of setting up or storing IMO. Build quality is great however, just too big and bulky to be practical.

This is a bit of an expensive one trick pony unitasker. But it is PERFECT for that task, which is chest supported landmine rows. Couple it with the exponent edge landmine jack for a great, sturdy setup. Yes, it’s heavy and awkward to store. But until I have space and money for a standalone t-bar machine. It’s the best option.
