Old school iron. There isn't much to distinguish these from any other metal plates out there--in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they were generic plates packaged and resold by Fringe. I will say the glossy coating is a nice touch and it has prevented rust from accumulating on them despite being stored in my humid garage. Generally speaking, if you are in the market for standard weight plates, shop around for the best price or purchase them second hand when possible.

These standard plates aren't any different than most other brands. Quick and cheap casting to get the price down, but that typically comes at the sacrifice of casting quality and weigh tolerance.

Standard weight plates, they do the job - can definitely be found cheaper on FBMP, sometimes at less than $1 per lb. Sometimes inaccurate, but they will definitely get the job done.
