REP® Glute Ham Developer (GHD)

REP® Glute Ham Developer (GHD)

Strengthen your posterior chain muscles (glutes, hamstrings, and lower back) with REP’s adjustable Glute-Ham Developer (GHD). This piece of equipment is versatile, with 13 different adjustment points, making it suitable for lifters of a wide range of heights. The bearing system for the 20x13” footplate makes these height adjustments quick and easy, and a mounting footplate helps lifters get on and off the equipment. This GHD is super sturdy, with a frame made mostly from 16-gauge steel. Footpads feature thick padding with a durable vinyl cover, and the footpads are finished with steel endcaps. Although the GHD is solid, weighing in at 150lbs, it’s still maneuverable due to wheels on the back. Enhance your workout with the included band pegs, designed for resistance work. In addition to strengthening your posterior chain, you can flip over and use the GHD for targeted abdominal workouts, too.

Overall very good GHD. I actually think this is the smallest full size GHD I've ever seen. Reps dimensions on their website were off by a few inches so expect it to be a little smaller (my measurements were 63x32". Felt pretty stable during GHRs and really good for everything else. I do really like Rep's pads. Easy to adjust to fit. I have heard some people say this GHD can stand vertically for storage, i can confirm it does NOT do that, it will tip.

I really love this piece. If I had one critique, it's that it doesn't fold up. You could flip it on its side and it will stand up straight and would save floor space, but it may not be possible for everyone due to their ceiling heights and you run the risk of it tipping over (not ideal with small children running around). The pad is very comfortable and the entire unit is stable. I am definitely happy with this purchase.

I had the older version of this for about 5 years. Structurally it was the same, but the padding was slightly lower quality than the updated version. Adjustments were very easy, but the back footplate was always a little wobbly. My favorite thing about it is the band pegs that run parallel to the machine - it made it really easy to put a band around it for banded GHRs. I got it on Marketplace for a good deal and sold it last time I moved. Haven’t decided if I want to get another one due to the space it takes up for the relatively small number of exercises. Solid piece though and I’d buy it again!

High-quality, well-priced GHD. I've used this piece twice a week for the 5 years I've owned it, and it's held up with very little wear and tear. The build quality is on par with that of the equipment I've used in commercial settings, powerlifting gyms, and upscale CrossFit boxes. As a 5'10 male, I've used this unit across a range of movements while weighing up to 230lbs, and it has never budged during use. The pads are comfortable, and the exterior uses the same grippy, non-slip material that is featured on Rep's line of benches. Finally, the trolley operates smoothly with no maintenance required, making the footplate easy to adjust.

Was a fantastic piece and I was able to get used from someone pissed off about it who sold it to me for $50 because it was uncomfortable and they wanted it gone. After hearing them bash it for 15 minutes, I didn’t have the energy to tell them it was uncomfortable because the pads were mounted up backwards. Served us very well after a quick refurb for about 2 years before we went to a combined GHD/Hyper via the Rogue Donkey

Great piece a little play within the leg pads. The pads are just now starting to show some wear after about 4 years of use multiple times a week

It’s ok… I probably wouldn’t buy it again if I was doing it again. I’ve seen other similar pieces that can store away easily and take up less space. The foot holds(?) have never been comfortable for me.

I use this every week in training for glute and hams and for abdominal work. It is solid, affordable, and easy to move around with the wheels on the end. Recommended.
