REP® x PEPIN™ FAST Series™ Adjustable Dumbbells

REP® x PEPIN™ FAST Series™ Adjustable Dumbbells

Meet the REP® x PÉPIN™ FAST Series™ adjustable dumbbell. These premier adjustable dumbbells are heavier and more compact than most adjustable dumbbells on the market. An adjustable dumbbell that starts at 10lbs and can go up to 125lbs at only 18.3” long is pretty much unheard of. All steel, CNC-cut plates with a black powder coating allow the dumbbells to be incredibly compact, very accurate, and look and feel great. In addition, they’re extremely durable. Both the dumbbells and the cradles are constructed entirely of metal (with UHMW liners to prevent steel-on-steel contact) and have been extensively drop-tested from every angle. The steel cradles allow you to rerack the dumbbells without worrying about being overly gentle, as would be the case if the cradles were plastic. And it’s quick, easy, safe, and satisfying to change the weight in 10lb increments – with just the press of a magnetic pop-pin. Adjust weight inside or outside the cradles (ideal for drop sets). Or add the included 2.5lb micro-plates for smaller adjustments. Adjustable dumbbells take up a small footprint in your gym, especially when compared with a standard set of 10-125lb dumbbells.

These are probably the best adjustable dumbbells on the market right now. Love the knurling, they feel super solid, and the cage honestly doesn’t bother me nearly as much as I thought it would. My biggest issues are with the adjustment system. First, no matter how I set the plates, probably 3 out of 10 times when I put the dumbbell back into the cradle the plates don’t line up perfectly and get stuck. Super annoying. Second, the adjustment sliders feel and sound really satisfying, but it’s harder than it should be to quickly tell what weight you’re actually on. I’ve caught myself having one side heavier or lighter than the other more than once, which just adds extra time between sets. If REP fixes those two things, these are S tier for me. As they are now, I’m somewhere between B and A tier.

It took me a long time to join the adjustable dumbbell gang- I like using fixed and I easily fit up to 75s in my gym in my old setup. Past that though it was getting a little tight and since there aren't a ton of exercises where I need the heavy boys, it made sense to go adjustable (while keeping my 5-50s). I wanted a pair that would be as heavy as I would ever need and I wanted the most compact option so I landed on the Reppins. So far I love them- handles feel great, I like that they are not round (my floors are not perfectly level), and honestly they look cool. The cage has not bothered me so far during exercises, although it would probably depend on what you're doing and if you use straps a lot. And I have not experienced any plate sticking in the carts that I'm using. Big thumbs up from me, I shouldn't have resisted for so long. Price wise I will be the millionth person to say yes they are expensive, but compared to a full set of fixed they are a bargain. Going up to 125 and with how durable they have proven to be means I am done thinking about dumbbells forever. Also, the adjustment literally takes 5 seconds. I guess some other adjustables might be a second or two faster but it probably makes sense to decide based on other factors.

Love my Rep x Pepins. I've owned them a year now and use them at least 4x per week. They perform like the day I got them, feel great in the hand and can't ever see needing/wanting to upgrade. I initially thought the cage would bother me and I also purchased the 'low profile' selector pins - but neither the cage nor the standard pins have been an issue for me and I have never even bothered installing the low profile ones. After hundreds of uses - racking and unracking - ive experienced plate stickage twice. Both times were due to me putting them back at a weird angle.. My only real gripe is that the adder weights, if not carefully installed, will ding the crap out of the top of the first weight plate. They are solid and stable in hand. I feel they are extremely well balanced and sized especially when getting into higher weights. Can't say enough good things about them.

In my opinion, these are the best adjustable dumbbells on the market. They are compact, quick and easy to change between weights, and are built like a tank. I have zero worries about these breaking from dropping them. They are also compact (in length) compared to other dumbbells that go up to the same weight.

Originally was excited for these from all the positive reviews but after they kept getting stuck on me. I think it is time to move on to something else. Rep as a company does have amazing customer service and they warrantied them once from a bad drop. (Bench height)

I've been using these for over a year and absolutely love them. The handle size and knurling are perfect. It took me a little bit to get the hang of the pop pins for setting the weight, but don't even have to think about it anymore. They are rock solid and I actually like using these more than a regular dumbbell for things like bench and tricep work.

As of right now these are the uncontested GOAT! I have the full 125lbs and rolling stand, absolutely love them. They feel great in the hand & the handle is a little thicker than the nuobells I own. Adjustment is a quick too, great build quality. Only drawbacks I can think of are that they’re obviously pricey, the cage design might be annoying for some bigger hands & the weight selection isn’t as good as the Nuobell handle twist. That being said they’ll last forever and you won’t regret it!

Simply fantastic, only drawback is the cage design, people try and get better elsewhere; real buyers remorse.
