Short Rackable Barbell

Short Rackable Barbell

The Short Rackable Utility Bar is where portability meets practicality. Whether you're lifting in a broom closet under the stairs (is that you, Harry?) or looking to optimize the usability of your Hydra Trident Station, a short rackable barbell is a saving grace for a space-constrained home gym. We took our best-selling Utility Barbell and literally trimmed some off the top, while still allowing it to be racked in a power rack up to 49 inches wide. This means you also get its most beloved features; versatile 28.5mm diameter, dual knurl markings, centre knurl for better grip on squats, and a durable black zinc coating. We even matched the sleeve finish for an all-black look that'll turn heads. The shorter version is more practical for deadlifts and the Olympic lifts; but with its 900lb capacity and rackable feature, this one takes the cake for squats and bench presses in tight quarters.

Fine bar, I never use it though. I bought this to fill two gaps: 1. There is little space between my rack and the wall, so I wanted a bar with shorter loading pins so I could fit past, and 2. I wanted to be able to do seal rows in a confined space. Ultimately I bought roller J Cups for my rack so can now shove a full size bar out of the way, and learned I needed a cambered bar to be able to get good ROM on the seal rows with my chest support. This is probably going back onto the Facebook Marketplace at some point, not because it's bad, just because it's bad for me. Knurling is quite passive, the loading sleeves spin, but not super much. I'd give the build quality of this an "it's OK"
