These are solid and hold tight if you find a pair with the rubber in tact. They can be pricey but great option if you want vintage clamps that perform.

I was lucky enough to have these thrown into a FBMP deal for next to nothing. They are are solid, satisfying but heavy collar. They are my strongest holding collar, and just have a very cool vintage feel.
