TSS Combo Rack

A few years back TSS updated this combo rack pretty significantly with custom options and more refined features, I wasn't a big fan of the first version but v2 is significantly better and made this one of the best for the money combo racks on the market only downfall is, it is not IPF approved

I am 4/5 when I’ve seen these racks in meets. 4 meets they were incredible, and worked well. 2 had made pad changes so you didn’t have the armor-all vinyl pad to slide around on. But we went to another and I’m not sure if the rack had survived a tornado or what but it was all kinds of wonky and took some iron coaxing to get into play. Ultimately I consider that one a ‘flyer’ and maybe it had seen more than I knew, or someone else had screwed it up along the way.

Ive been powerlifting for 13 years. Been on almost every combo rack to ever exist and there are very few that I’d choose over the Texas Strength Systems. Strong, well built, lightweight/easy to move, sensible, etc. Great for the garage or the platform.

I'd put this up against some of the best combo racks out there. It's not as flashy as ones like EliteFTS or Hansu, but its basic and does the job well. The bench pad is firm and grippy which is the most that I look for

This is my favorite combo rack I have used and the one would add to my gym if I ever added one. It edges out the ER rack since you can actually bolt the TSS to the concrete. Face savers not coming stock stupid.

Use this rack is basically every meet I compete in. Overall great rack and no complaints! Would love to get one for the gym.

I’ve used this for bench and squats in a few comps and I didn’t have any issues with it. Definitely liked the pad better than an ER Combo but still prefer to squat and bench in a rack but obviously not an option for meets.

Probably the most common combo you'll see at meets. Not a bad rack to compete out of but the bench pad kind of sucks.

This is a solid made in USA combo. It used to be one of the only options you could customize. While I like this combo, there are some things I think they could do better. The rollers on this don’t wear very well and tend to flatten out quicker than other brands I’ve used. You also don’t get a lot of UHMW on some of the potential touch points. Face savers aren’t included in the base price which I find weird, and when you factor this and shipping in, this quickly gets near that $3k mark. That being said it does have one of the better pads out there and they can do some pretty slick custom work.

I love how I was able to customize it to make it a 1/1 rack. They laser cut whatever you want into the uprights and do a great job. TSS combo racks have been a staple in powerlifting for a while and they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Best bench pad in the game. I love mine, but added UHMW to make it better; loss of one star on performance because I had to add my own.
