The dumbbell handles are made of Heat-Treated Alloy Steel with Hard-Chrome finish. Domestic origin High Strength stainless steel handles are available for upgrade as well as custom logos.

Great commercial grade dumbbells, very expensive new but great quality. I'd much prefer prostyle as those go much heavier but these umaxs do feel more refined

These are great dumbbells. I have a pair of 50s that I got from a used equipment store to finish my 5-50 set. Who knows how old they are but they are in immaculate condition and will last in my home gym forever. The knurling is just the right amount of grippy for a dumbbell and the handles are thick but not too thick. I got them for 2 dollars a pound but my understanding is that they are commercial level crazy expensive new. I definitely would recommend at a comparable used price if you are looking for a urethane dumbbell.
UPDATE- got some more heavier pairs, this time for only a dollar a pound. Absolute steal. I was looking for urethane as opposed to hex or other rubber DBs to keep the size down in the heavier weights. The 75s are 13" long and 7.5" across which is only an inch more than the rubber Troy 45s that i have, for context.
